Backcountry of Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park


Trail Update as of April 26, 2008

Spooner Lake:  Mostly clear of snow on north side; mostly snow covered on south side in Aspen groves - not recommended.

Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT):   Don't even think about it until sometime in June!

Flume Trail:  Heavy drifts on north facing sections at north and south ends - some open areas in the middle west facing section.

Marlette Lake via North Canyon:  Intermitten snow on 1st mile to base of North Canyon; North Canyon snow covered most of the say (4 miles) to Marlette Lake; Marlette basin and lake completely snow-covered - winterlike conditions.  NOTE:  Be prepared with waterproof, sturdy footwear and warm, layered clothing.
